One of the things I love most about London is that you can go to a different area and feel like you’ve walked into a world a million miles away from the last: from the buildings, the colours. the atmosphere, the style… It’s not always necessarily far from the last place you were in, it could be on the other side of the river or maybe even just round the corner but it’s like living in a city full of cities to explore, and I’m trying my best to discover a new one every weekend!
Last week I took a trip to Shoreditch to give my new camera and my new awesome leopard coat an outing. Sometimes I use exploring new parts of the city as an excuse to explore my style as well – especially when I’m shooting and want to make the most of the backdrops of the location – and I thought this was an outfit that would fit in pretty well with the Shoreditch scenery!
I’m totally in love with this leopard fur coat. Sometimes I can’t help but fall in love with items of clothing that are impractical, ridiculous or the kind of thing that my boyfriend refuses to leave the house with me wearing (turns out this coat was all three) but it gives me a funny kind of happiness to wear crazy things every once in a while even if it is only for my enjoyment! I couldn’t resist this coat as a dupe for the Shrimps one I’ve spotted on one of my faves, Megan, and it really is great as a statement piece when I need to wrap up against the cold (which is every day right now tbd). It’s so statement it needs nothing else but black, so I just threw it over one of my go-to black winter uniforms and I was good to go!
