Spa Day with Holland & Barrett

A while back I was invited along to an amazing event by the lovely people at Holland & Barrett. One of the many perks of blogging is that from time to time you get invited to some great events, and I have to say that this was the best one yet for me! It was held on a weekend and we were lucky enough to be taken to Hale Country Club (just outside Manchester) for a spa day and general day full of pampering. I can definitely say it was the loveliest way I’ve spent a Saturday in a while!

The club itself is incredible, with gorgeous interiors, a delicious restaurant, 5 different steam rooms and saunas to choose from (all with different temperatures and themes – the Fire & Ice room was my favourite) and even an outdoor rooftop pool which was pretty magical even in the cold Spring air! When I arrived I met the other bloggers and the girls running the event and sat down to an amazing lunch in the Spa restaurant (the prawn tempura sushi was out of this word). Afterwards, we were whisked off for 2 hours of spa treatments, aka the best facial and massage I have ever had! You were matched to the right facial products for your skin and invited to choose the oils for your massage whilst having a foot soak and even brought a lemon sorbet at the end of the treatments to refresh you. The lovely Chyaz and I were actually in a joint treatment room and I’m pretty sure we both half dozed off in a blissed-out post-massage daze by the end of it all!

Of course we couldn’t resist trying out the steam rooms and bathing in the rooftop pool for a while afterwards, and chilling out for some blogger chat on the heated pool loungers. Needless to say, the while day was heavenly and I can’t thank Holland & Barrett enough for such a luxurious day. By the end of it I felt utterly spoilt and wishing I could move to Hale and become a regular member of the Country Club!

Have you been to a spa day recently? Any recommendations let me know!
