Since quitting my office job and going freelance, I’ve definitely become a lot more lazy when it comes to clothes. Working from home is great, but I’m not gonna lie that it’s a real learning curve and suddenly once you don’t have to, doing normal things like getting out of your PJs at a reasonable hour in the morning takes a lot more will power than it used to! I’ve managed to train myself now so that I hardly ever stay in my pyjamas or work from bed, but most of the time I do still dress for comfort rather than anything else. Working in an office full of fashion girls, I used to spend time and effort wearing something exciting every day (I’ll admit it, it was also a reason I was late for work more than once!) but these days I live in jumpers, layers and jeans. So when I have a day out and about in London for meetings, coffee dates or just to get myself out of the house and working from somewhere other than my bedroom, I like to make the most of wearing something a bit more exciting! So maybe that explains why I’m gone all out with this Shrimps-esque leopard coat and silver boots combo…

I’ve been wanting  a pair of silver boots foreverrrrr so I was over the moon when these landed through my letterbox. Moon being the operative word, because I do feel a bit like a spaceman when I’m wearing these! I tend to forget there are some things that I LOVE that normal people might look at and find a bit strange, and these were a classic example. I was feeling sassy in my silver boots until I was walking the length of Tottenham Court Road in the rain with people looking at me like I was mad! But oh well, as long as you like what you wear, then what does it matter really?! I love this coat too – it’s so Shrimps-esque. I bought it via Love the Sales, my one stop shop for a bargain! They show sale buys from all sorts of high street and designer brands so you can get a great deal on whatever it is you’re looking for, and you can grab pieces you’ve had your eye on when they go into sale – like this leopard print beauty! I managed to nab it when there was a cheeky extra deal on ASOS too so it was only marked down from £150 to about £55 – amazing! Check out Love the Sales here if you love a bargain as much as I do!
