The camel coat is one of those classic fashion pieces in your wardrobe that will never go out of style. No matter the style or cut, there’s something about the colour that just says chic. From a classic lightweight trench to a oversized wool cocoon coat, it’s one of those go-to items you can throw on over any outfit and look effortlessly stylish! It’s safe to say I’m pretty much in love with this one from Sideparty, it’s literally the only thing that’s made me get out of my Zara aviator coat for the whole winter!

I love wearing a more classic look like this from time to time, and it’s rare that I get out of my all-black looks in winter, so this jacket is a great way to inject a little bit of ‘colour’ (well, non-black colour at least!) into my outfits. I really love the oversized style of this coat too, it’s super cosy and can be chucked on over anything. The tie-front style and boxy sleeve shape give it a bit of a cooler edge than just classic camel, plus it means I can hide tons of layers underneath which is definitely what I need with this freezing weather right now! I shot these pictures around Charlotte Street in Fitzrovia – one of my fave London streets! It’s full of cute cafes, bars and unusual restaurants and pretty side streets to wander down like this one.

I’d definitely recommend checking out the Sideparty site and the rest of their collection, they’re a really cool independent brand full of classic styles like this with a cool, quirky edge – think boxy breton tops, vintage-style shift & pinafore dresses and oversized coats and jackets. How would you style up a camel coat?
