It might sound a bit strange, but I’ve always had a bit of a thing for mixing menswear with womenswear. From years of being a tomboy, climbing trees and wearing my brother’s hand-me-downs as a kid, to experimenting with lazy casualwear at uni (men’s shirts and leggings were my style staples) right up to the present day when dressing for the city often means androgynous urban looks, menswear has pretty much always featured in my wardrobe in some way or another! So when I was asked by Scott’s Menswear to choose some pieces to style up on my blog I was quite excited, especially when I started browsing the unisex trainer collection!
I decided to style some classic Adidas pieces, perfect for casual London dressing and super easy to fit in to the rest of my wardrobe! I’m a self-confessed trainer addict these days and my most recent obsession is with Adidas Gazelles (I now own 3 different colours and am eyeing up a light pink pair to add to my collection…) so I couldn’t resist adding this new edition black suede pair to my shoedrobe! I also chose this oversized classic Adidas tee to style up as part of a girlier look, adding my fave embroidered bomber (that I’m wearing to death at the moment) and a pair of leather shorts. I love this for a casual sportswear-meets-fashion look, to be honest I’ve been living in these kind of outfits recently! What do you think? Will you be trying the menswear for girls look?
