Ever since suede emerged back on the scene last year, I’ve been forever on the hunt for the perfect suede jacket. I’m not going to lie, there are already way more suede/faux suede jackets than one person needs hanging on my clothes rail, but when I spotted this one from Trilogy I just couldn’t resist! I think my suede jacket hunt might have finally reached its end…. Super soft and supple and the perfect shade to go with anything, this real leather beauty is definitely a staple piece worth investing in. You can’t beat a real leather jacket for timelessness and I can tell this will be a wardrobe go-to for me any time of the year! This time I wore it with a simple striped look and a nod to seventies styling with my trusty pointed ankle boots and a baker boy hat – which I think might be my new favourite accessory!
This outfit was perfect for wandering around London, which is how I like to spend my weekends these days. They say that the best way to get to know a city is to spend time walking around it, and that’s how I’ve been spending my lazy Saturdays recently – exploring the parks, side streets and corners of this endless-seeming city. Last weekend I walked from the yoga-and-brunch haven of Chalk Farm up to take in the views at Primrose Hill, then all the way through Regents Park’s fields, lakes and daisy-filled grasses to Baker Street where I shot these pictures before meandering down Marylebone Road to browse the beautiful boutique stores and sip delicious flat whites at Workshop Coffee. It was a beautiful way to spend a sunny Sunday….I love realising how easily you can get from place to place in this city, and how quickly it changes round every corner – the more time I spend adventuring the more there seems to discover! I can’t wait to see where I end up this weekend….
