I seem to be stuck in a bit of a blogging rut at the moment. From time to time, it’s often a struggle to keep my little patch of the internet going, whether it’s finding the time alongside a full-time job, managing to shoot outfit posts despite England’s rubbish winter weather or putting up with fighting with my boyfriend over photography, sometimes it can just feel like more trouble than it’s worth! I’m not sure if it’s just the winter weather getting to me, but on top of that I seem to be having a style crisis at the moment as well. I’ve got so lazy – every day has turned into a jeans and tshirt day, honestly sometimes it’s a miracle I even manage to put on a different outfit than the day before!

I’m doing my best to get re-inspired by blogging and fashion in general, but for the days when I end up prioritising an extra half an hour in bed over putting together a great outfit, I’ve started to rely on that always-right fashion mantra: if in doubt, wear black. When Bonprix asked me to style up some pieces from their sale, of course I chose more black. Well, really, is there even such a thing as having too much black in your wardrobe? I really love this chiffon wrap top as well, it’s perfect for a day-to-night outfit. Luckily I got out of my style funk for long enough to be tempted by this leopard jacket too and I’m hoping it will inspire me to inject a bit more print into my wardrobe. This is still quite a no-effort look but at least it’s a bit more interesting than the oversized-jumper-skinny-jeans combo that I’ve been wearing day-in day-out at work (and is waaaay too boring to blog about here)!

Is anyone else stuck in a winter style rut or is it just me? If you have any tips on how I can break mine then let me know!

Cool idea. I have a jacket just like that, but I like to wear it only in the warm days of autumn. It looks better with the brown colours of the city streets.

I love that jacket. I think it works with something smart casual as much as with a sport outfit. What do you think?
