Mitonia Shampoo Haircare

If there’s one thing I can’t stop searching for (along with breton tops, skinny jeans that fit just right and the perfect white t-shirt), it’s the right hair products for my hair. I’ve lost count of the amount of different shampoos and conditioners I’ve tried across the years – some good, some bad and plenty of those super annoying ones that are amazing for the first few washes and then inexplicably become useless overnight. My hair’s changed a lot in the last few years too, which is a bit strange and also makes me feel pretty old to admit it! But it means I’ve had to change up my haircare routine to fit my hair, and I’ll admit it’s been a struggle getting it right recently. Before I went for the chop and had my mermaid locks cut into a bob, I was already noticing that my hair had got a lot thinner than it used to be. I like to joke (well, half joke) that it’s my job that’s made my hair fall out, but it might (tragically) be a sign of getting older, or it might just be that my hair itself is in much better condition than when I was a teenager and my once tangled, frizzy locks and much smoother and looked-after these days, which might have made my hair a little more on the flat side! Not necessarily a bad thing, but it means I’ve had to go from buying moisturising, taming products to anything that will help boost my volume!

I was contacted by Mitonia a while back to review some of their luxury Miriam Quevedo hair products so of course I asked to try their volumising Platinum & Diamonds range. For the last few weeks, I’ve been using the Shampoo & Luxurious Mask and boy am I please with the results! I waited a while to post my review because in my opinion you can’t really tell whether hair products are good for your hair until you’ve used them for a little while, but I’m definitely impressed by these! I mean, for the price, you’d hope they’d be good (the shampoo retails at £28 a bottle and the conditioning mask a whopping £38.75) but I’m so pleased with how my hair feels that I actually think they might be worth the price! I’ve really been converted to high end beauty products recently, I mean you’d spend that price on a new outfit, and hair products are something you’ll use every day, right?!

Anyway, on to the products themselves….the ingredients have countless benefits for your hair – as well as intensely moisturing and conditioning the hair with coconut, olive and argan oils, it also helps volumise and retire balance to thinner hair. It also include extracts of platinum and diamond powder and caviar! I guess that explains the price, huh? I couldn’t tell you what the addition of these premium ingredients does exactly, but I can tell you that after a few weeks of using the shampoo and conditioner (sometimes as a conditioner, once a week as a mask treatment), my hair has never felt better! Even with over half my hair chopped off, I still have the volume and texture that I want. I love it! I’d never have thought trying luxury haircare would make such a difference, but I’m totally converted!
