I have to admit, I’m coming to a time in my life where I am starting to think about anti-wrinkle creams. I don’t know whether it’s just my age (apparently 25 is old enough to start worrying about these things…), whether busy work stresses are finally taking their toll, or maybe because I spend too much time laughing (I’m going to go with the latter) but I can definitely start to see the change in my skin and fine lines that over time will stop being so fine and start to be….well, not okay at all!
I’ve experimented with a few lotions and potions (read: eye creams) in the past but nothing that’s really stuck. I have quite sensitive skin so it can be hard for me to find a good moisturiser for my face at the best of times. So when I was asked to try out Juliette Armand’s range of anti-wrinkle products, I thought I might as well give it a go! I went for the Thavma Lift Cream, which promises to lift and moisturise the skin, treat wrinkles and generally brighten up your complexion. It sounded about right for my tired skin so I gave it a try over the last week to see what I thought.
Even from the first use, I could tell the cream was doing some good. It’s really moisturising so for that reason I’ve been using it as a night cream treatment so as not to end up with an oily far during the day. Waking up in the morning after using the cream, I could see that my skin looked firmer and more hydrated and particularly my eye area looked a lot fresher and brighter. After using it consecutively for a few days, I can definitely tell the difference. My skin feels a lot firmer and it’s really brightened up my complexion which, as I’ve been quite run-down lately has taken it’s toll on my skin, has been a big boost to my confidence when I’m not wearing makeup! Oh, and of course it smells delicious too which is always a bonus in my book. The only downside is that for the first couple of days my skin felt oilier than normal during the day and had a couple of breakouts, but as I continued to use the cream it soon balanced back out again.
Although the Thavma Lift Cream is probably aimed at women slightly older than me (30+), I was really pleased with it’s effects, and since I’m always reading that it’s never too early to start using anti-wrinkle cream I’m guessing there’s no harm done! I’d definitely recommend trying out the range as there are tons of different products to target different areas, age groups and skin-types, some of which even claim to have the same age-reducing effects as surgical procedures! Next on my list is definitely the Eye-Brightening Gel, which sounds amazing for ridding you of dark circles and eye-bags! At £50 per pot for this cream it’s not exactly cheap, but I figure when it comes to taking care of your skin and protecting against ageing, it’s worth the expense, right?! It’s definitely a brand that I will keep on my radar for when the time comes where I need more products like this, but for the meantime I’ll keep protecting my skin early while I can!
