#boohooDIY

I’ve got a bit of a different post for you today, it’s some DIY I did for boohoo this week. I was given a plain tee to customise and a DIY kit full of studs, gemstones, paints and glue to get creative with and make my perfect festival piece of clothing! I decided to get cutting and create this tassled and studded number. What do you think? I think it would be perfect with some denim cutoffs and wellies for festival season! It was super easy to make too – all it needed was some scissors and a slightly steady hand.
For anyone interested in creating their own, here’s some super easy instructions to get you going!
1. Cut up the edge of the top with fabric scissors. For best results, use a ruler to make sure you don’t create a wonky hem!
2. Tie knots at the top and bottom of each tassel to create a better shape and stop the fabric from fraying
3. Add studs in the pattern or word that you want to create! I’d recommend laying out the studs to test it first. And don’t forget to use scissors to bend the studs into place instead of your fingers – I learnt from experience that it can be a bit painful otherwise!
What do you think of this easy DIY project? If you do decide to give it a go then make sure you check out boohoo’s latest competition, where you can win festival tickets for instagramming your DIY creation with the hashtag #boohooSWAG! Check out the competition here.
Have fun DIY-ing!
