Highland chic

Cape – Jarlo
Boots – Sorel
Lipstick – Rimmel Kate Moss no.107
I never really would have thought that I’d be one to wear a tartan cape and a pair of big fluffy boots…but it turns out that at this time of year, what I’m going to dub “highland chic” is totally acceptable and right up my fashion street! Manchester is one of those places that, come winter, you have to just give up and give in to the fact that little pleather boots or skimpy flats just aren’t going to cut it any more, and it’s time to bust out the wellies. I stupidly left my Hunters at home this year, so it was like a godsend when these amazing Sorel boots turned up at my door! They’re actually quite walking boot/snow boot esque, made of proper sturdy material (something which is virtually unknown to the rest of my shoe wardrobe) and with an amazing cosy lining that makes me want to wear them all the time, including in bed and on a night out! They are just so comfy! Manchester puddles will never bother me again!
And, as for this beautiful tartan cape…well, let’s just say I have never appreciated the Scottish so much!

I absoloutly love this look, the cape is fabulous and it’s plaid print. Weather in Yorkshire this time of year is rubbish – dreary and dark 🙁
